The Loras College volleyball team is up to 12-4 overall and 4-0 in the Iowa Conference after their straight-set win over Buena Vista on Tuesday night.

The Duhawks knocked off the Beavers 25-18, 25-17, and 25-11.

Kenzie Goedken and Kate Russell led the Loras attack with nine and eight kills and each contributed to three blocks. Julie Rogers added 28 assists and Regan Riley added three aces. Russell and Morgan Murphy combined for 27 digs in the dominant win.

The victory keeps Loras at the top of the IIAC standings at 4-0, with the Border Battle beginning this weekend. The Duhawks will play at 2:00 and 6:00 PM on Friday in the AWC and return on Saturday to host matches at 8:00 AM and noon.

Joining the Duhawks at the Iowa edition of the 2010 Border Battle are Central, Dubuque, and Coe on the Iowa side. The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference representatives are Augsburg, Bethel, St. Catherine, St. Mary's. Competition runs from 2:00-10:00 PM on Friday and 8:00 AM-4:00 PM on Saturday.

At the 2009 Border Battle in the AWC, the MIAC won nine matches to the IIAC's seven. At St. Olaf of the MIAC side, the Minnesotan's went 13-3.
