The Loras College women's cross country team brought their four top runners to the finish line in 20 minutes or less at Friday's National Catholic Invitational in South Bend, Indiana.

The Duhawks took home sixth place in the non-Division I category, which includes competitors from NCAA Division II, III, and NAIA schools. Loras was 15th overall in the 35-team field.

Junior Katie Hemesath finished the course in 19:27 to lead the way for the Duhawks. Tara Kilburg finished in 19:43 - followed closely by Genna Kinley's 19:52. Mary Rector was clocked at an even 20:00.

Among the rest of the Duhawks hustling to the finish line were Maria Kalb (20:29), followed by the small group of Kelsey Kruse (20:55), Lindsey Robinson (21:00), Megan Wolett (21:02), Katie Flogel (21:08), and Bridget Hall (21:16) who were just 21 seconds apart.

Loras' next race is September 25 in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the Roy Griak Invitational.
