The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) handed out their academic awards this week, with both Loras College squads being represented.

Both the men's and women's teams were named "All-Academic Teams" by the USTFCCCA and a total of four individuals were recognized. To be recognized as an individual, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.3 cumulative GPA and have reached a NCAA III qualifying mark this season. As a team, the Duhawks needed to carry a combined 3.1 team GPA or higher.

Thrower Elliot McAllister earned All-Academic team honors for his efforts in the classroom. On the women's team, outstanding throwers Danielle McNally and Heidi Tobin along with track and cross country standout Mary Bridget Corken achieved the necessary marks as well.
