The Loras College Track & Field teams will send a total of five Duhawks to Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio for the 2010 NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships beginning May 27.

Chris Swift will fly solo on the men's side into the 400 Meter Hurdles race. The senior posted the nation's eighth best time this season, at 0:52.91, on May 21 at North Central College. He's been among the leaders in the country all season and will try and qualify for the finals on Thursday evening.

On the women's side, three seniors and one junior take to the track in three different events.

Barb Kremer was eighth a year ago in the 100 Meter Hurdles when she ran a 0:15.66 in the finals. She qualified eighth this year with a 14.45 at the Iowa Conference Championships. Kremer will begin her quest for another All American performance on Friday afternoon. She was seventh in the 55 Meter Hurdles at the 2010 NCAA Division III Indoor Championships.

Mary Bridget Corken will conclude her decorated Loras career the 1500 Meter Run. The preliminary races are late on Thursday afternoon. Corken was seventh this winter in the Mile Run at the 2010 NCAA Division III Indoor Championships. On April 17, she posted her qualifying time of 4:32.42, which is fifteenth on the list this season.

There will be two Duhawks taking on 15 other racers in the 800 Meter Run on Friday evening. Senior Hannah Weiss and junior Laura Rieger have taken turns breaking the school record in the 800 this spring and are seventh (Weiss, 2:11.52) and eleventh (Rieger, 2:12.02) in the country entering the weekend.
