The Loras College men's track and field team was in Rock Island, Illinois on Saturday for the Augustana College Meet of Champions and senior Chris Swift highlighted the day with his third place finish and national qualifying time in the 400 Meter Hurdles.

Swift ran his lap 53.76, a time that was good for third place. Not only did that third place put the East Dubuque, Illinois native fourth on Loras' all time list, but it also put him onto the national qualifying list. Swift is currently sitting tenth on the list. Shaving one more second off his time would put him fourth.

Four Duhawks, Tom Henders, Mike Higgins, Tyler Meyer, and Dain Leytem each scored team points for the Duhawks in the 5,000 Meter Run. The Duhawks came in one after the other in fourth through seventh place.

Loras finished ninth of the eleven teams competing at the Meet of Champions.
