The Loras College men's tennis team split their home openers at the Loras College tennis courts on Saturday, defeating Simpson 8-1 in the afternoon session, but falling to Central 7-2 in the morning tilt.

Jared Levy was a part of both of the wins in the morning match with the Central Dutch. The junior from Port St. Lucie, Florida won his #1 singles match over Noah Saunders 6-0, 6-4. Levy and doubles partner Erik Becker won a tightly contested #2 doubles match 8-6 over Jacob Dreyer and Seth Harris. Central won the remaining matches to claim the team victory.

In the afternoon contest, The Duhawks controlled the match with help from two open slots left by the Storm and convincing wins by Levy, Becker, John Keane, and Joe Golba.

The split keeps the Duhawks at .500 in Iowa Conference play halfway through the league schedule at 2-2. They'll be in Rockford on Thursday to take on the Regents before hosting a double-dual on Sunday, April 18.
