2009-10 All IIAC Men's Basketball Team

The Loras College men's basketball team had three Duhawks named to the 2009-10 All-Iowa Conference team on Wednesday.

Two Duhawks were named to the second team. Sophomore Tim Kelly (Cedar Falls, Iowa/Columbus HS), who was among the top ten scorers in the league this season, and freshman Connor Mooney (Hawthorn Woods, Ill./Lake Zurich HS), who posted the IIAC's best assist-to-turnover ratio, were Loras' second team picks. Kelly was also in the top ten in field goal shooting and made a league best 46% of his three pointers (34-of-73). Mooney emerged as Loras' point guard early in the year and matched his elders at the position around the league step for step. Mooney posted the seventh best single season assist mark with 109 and is one of only eight players to ever reach the century mark.

Junior guard Mike Gleason (Cary, Ill./Cary-Grove HS) was one of four players in the Iowa Conference who was given Honorable Mention. Gleason was in the top five in the Iowa Conference in three point shooting, made three pointers, and was among the top 20 scorers in the nine-team league. He was one of three players in the IIAC to make over 100 three point shots this season.

This trio of Duhawks were the ones who averaged in double figures this season (13.0, 11.6, 11.4) and were each named to the team for the first time in their respective careers.
