Men's Track & Field closes indoor "regular season" at IIAC Championships

IIAC Championships RESULTS

The Loras College men's indoor track and field team posted a ninth place finish over the weekend at the Indoor IIAC Championships. Ryan Seymour, Tim Derr, and the 4x400 and the 4x800 meter relay team had strong performances that put themselves in the Loras all-time record books.

Seymour earned a 9th place finish in the 200 meter dash with a time of :23.41; he is now #10 on the all-time list. Derr also placed 9th in the pentathlon with 2,691 points which puts him on Loras' all-time list at #2. The 4x800 meter relay team of Cody Dreyer, Tom Henders, Dan McDermott, and Mike Roth came in at 8:19.47 for a 6th place finish and a #7 posting on the Loras all-time sheet .The 4x400 team earned the only top three finish for the Duhawks as the quartet of Sean Lewis, Scott Schemmel, Chris Swift and Seymour took third place in a time of 3:29.00.

 

Loras will participate in a handful of Last Chance meets before the March 12-13 NCAA Division III Indoor Championships. The Duhawks will begin the 2010 outdoor season on March 27 in Memphis, TN at the Rhodes Invitational.
