Loras alum among those researching brain injuries for NCAA

Dr. Mike McCrea ('88), whose resume includes brain trauma work with the United States Department of Defense and The Center for Study of Retired Athletes, is based out of Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. McCrea earned bachelor's degrees in both Psychology and Sociology from Loras and followed those with master's and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He is currently Professor of Neurosurgery and Neurology and Director of Brain Injury Research at Medical College of Wisconsin and President of the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology (AACN).
