#30 Augustana, 21

Loras, 12

The Loras College wrestling team won four decisions on Tuesday night in Rock Island, Illinois against the Augustana Vikings on their way to a 21-12 loss to the newly ranked hosts.

It was 3-3 after two bouts when Rudy Johnson beat CJ Sojka, 8-6, in the 133-pound match. Steven DeWitt did his part to keep the Duhawks close when he won at 157-pounds, 12-5. The score was 9-6 at that point, and the Vikings stayed unbeaten in their duals on the year by winning three of the last five matches. Loras' wins in that stretch were at 197- and 285-pounds. Malcolm Watson won a closely contested 3-2 bout at 197 and James Buss beat John Schraidt 3-1 in his season debut at heavyweight.

Next up for the Duhawks is a trip to Nashville, Tennessee this weekend. The team will compete in what has been known as the "Gator Duals" – run and organized by Luther College – at McGavock High School. The Christmas and New Year's break will last all the way until the Duhawks return to the NWCA National Duals in Des Moines, Iowa on January 11.
