Tara Blake Named to All-Conference Team

Tara Blake was named to the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Conference team on Friday, November 8. As a freshman, the Crystal Lake, IL native played in 117 sets for Loras. She led the team with 294 kills, averaging 2.51 a game (10th in the IIAC). Blake was second on the team in digs (380) and serving aces (32). 

 

Kara Grant and Danielle Kennedy received honorable mentions for the Duhawks.

 

Danielle Kennedy led the Duhawk squad with a .275 attack percentage (7th in the IIAC). She was second on the team with 232 kills. The freshman from Dyersville, Iowa led the team in solo blocks (25), block assists (83), and total blocks (108). Her 108 total blocks were second in the IIAC. Junior Kara Grant was third on the team in kills (223) and second on the team with a 2.35 kills per game average. A year ago, Grant made the All-Iowa Conference squad, making it two straight years with a nod from the league.
