The Loras College Men's Soccer team moved into second place by themselves in the Iowa Conference Saturday with a 3-0 home win over the Luther College Norse.

Kevin Cavers was the first Duhawk to score in the 33rd minute on a free kick from 50 yards out. With traffic in front of Norse goalkeeper Tommy Breen, Cavers' long-distance kick slipped into the side net as Breen froze for a touch in front of him that never came.

The second goal came only a minute into the second half when Mike Pizzello sent home his third goal of the season from eight yards out. The Duhawks' final goal was a full volley from Tom Fluegel that started with a free kick from Dan Figura near midfield. It was team high seventh goal of the season. The Duhawks outshot the Norse 17-7 and goal keeper Dylan Milkent was only forced to make one save.

Fluegel's goal picked up some fanfare on the internet following the game, including Top Drawer Soccer and www.101greatgoals.com . It has been viewed over 9,000 times on YouTube.

The victory improved the Duhawks record to 13-1-2 and 4-1 in conference play. The Duhawks are set to play Coe College on Saturday October 26th at 1:00PM at home for Senior Day.
