The Loras College women's cross country team won the team title on Friday at their annual Dr. Robert Tucker Invitational. The event, hosted at the Dubuque Soccer Complex, included five teams and 91 total runners.

Loras flexed their home-course muscles by placing four runners in the top ten.

Mary Rector was a healthy 17 seconds ahead of the second place runner from Augustana. Maggie Saenz Ruiz was less than 30 seconds behind Rector in third place. Bri Cook and Kellie Wagner were a minute behind Rector in sixth and seventh place (fifth and sixth scoring slots). Becky Hilby's 17th place finish (14th in the points) rounded out the Duhawks' top five finishers.

The full Duhawk roster competed in the home event – which doubles as the de facto final regular season event of the year. The team won't take the course again until November when they run at the Iowa Conference Championship at Central College in Pella, Iowa on the 2nd. The gun goes off at 11:00 am.

This year's Central Region title is hosted by St. Olaf on November 16.
