The Loras College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is hosting "Take A Kid To A Game" on Saturday. Home events included in the festivities are the Duhawks football game against Simpson College beginning at 1:00 PM in the Rock Bowl and the soccer doubleheader that is scheduled to follow, which begins at 5:00 pm against Luther College.

As a part of the event, youth football players and soccer players who wear their jerseys to the games will be granted free admission to all three contests (parents will pay regular admission price). The young players will have a chance to interact with coaches and players for each team, listen to a presentation from the head coaches, and get autographs from the players. They'll sit in the Rock Bowl bleachers and watch the games with student-athletes from other Loras teams.

"Welcoming local youth athletes to our games is something we always encourage and hope to see a lot. On Saturday we're taking some extra time to make sure they know who we are and how much fun our games can be," SAAC President Kinsey Campbell – a women's soccer team captain – said this week. "They'll also have a chance to interact with the Duhawks and ask them questions about what it takes to be a college athlete."

The Duhawks also host volleyball matches this weekend at 2:00 and 6:00 PM on Friday and 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM on Saturday. The Loras cross country team also hosts their annual home event at the Dubuque Soccer Complex at 4:30 PM on Friday.
