The Loras College women's soccer team allowed a season-high five goals against on Wednesday night in Whitewater, Wisconsin against the #22 Warhawks. The hosts opened the scoring in the 12th minute and never looked back. 


The shot total was nearly even over the first 45 minutes, but the host Whitewater side cashed in twice with goals in the 12th and 37th minutes to set the tone for the annual "Hawk Cup" match between the two schools. They also struck just 90 seconds in to the second half to extend their lead and score two more times in the first 20 minutes of the half to break open the score line.


Loras added one goal from Katie Truesdale – her team high 9th of the season – in the 71st minute. It came off Danielle Vujovic's team high seventh assist of the year. Two minutes prior to Truesdale's goal, Loras failed to convert a penalty kick.


The loss snaps a five game winning streak for Loras.


The Luther College Norse will be in the Rock Bowl for a Saturday evening tilt with the Duhawks in Iowa Conference action. The sides are tied atop the IIAC standings at 4-0 right now. Kickoff is 5:00 PM. It will be Loras's first home game in over two weeks.
