Loras, 7

Simpson, 1

The Loras College women's soccer team continued their winning ways on Tuesday evening with a convincing 7-1 win over Simpson College. Five different Duhawks scored goals, most of which came in the second half.

The Duhawks took a while to get going, but eventually kept Simpson goalkeeper Stephanie Cox busy with 13 shots on goal, including seven that would find the back of the net.

The Loras bench provided the first two goals of the night with Shelby Perkins and Alexa Eggert scoring in the 29th and 39th minutes.

Loras was out of the gate quickly in the second half, scoring three times in the first five minutes of the half. Danielle Vujovic scored 90 seconds into the second half to make it 3-0. She then watched Katie Truesdale scored just ten second later for a 4-0 lead and sandwiched that with a second goal of her own in the 51st minute. Mary O'Boyle added goals in the 66th and 71st minutes for her first and second strikes as a Duhawk.

Loras will be in Waverly, Iowa on Saturday evening as they try to build on their 2-0 start in the Iowa Conference. Kickoff against the Knights is 5:00 PM.
