The first two rounds of the IIAC Championship have come to an end, and the last two rounds will start up again in Cedar Rapids next weekend.  The Duhawks took four players to compete for the title but were unable to combine for a team score in the first round before posting a 375 in the second round.

Individually the team was led by Dana Matykiewicz. She is the current leader for Loras, placing 17th with a scores of 89 and 85 (+30).  Mara Simonson, in 18th, is right behind Dana with scores of 86 and 89 (+31).  They are five and six shots off the All-IIAC pace at the midway point.

Freshman Emma Walsh's lost ball early on the first day of competition kept the team off the team scoreboard following the first round. She was disqualified after learning she finished a hole with a ball that wasn't hers, leaving only three players on the course for Loras to record opening round scores. Walsh returned to action on Saturday to shoot a 100. Katie Lathrum shot 90/101 and sits in 31st place.

The IIAC Championship will wrap up next weekend in Cedar Rapids, Iowa at Elmcrest GC on Friday and Saturday.
