The Loras College volleyball team went 2-0 at the Knox College event on Saturday, September 7 in Galesburg, Illinois. The team made quick work of both host Knox and MacMurray. 

 

The team allowed an average of just 15 points against them over the 6-set run and have won nine straight sets going back to their road sweep of Rockford last week.

 

Against Knox, Tara Blake and Danielle Kennedy led the way with nine kills each. Kara Grant returned to the lineup with eight kills. Blake added 13 digs to lead that category. Shawn Rielly sent up 33 assists against the Prairie Fire.

 

Against MacMurray, Grant was swinging even more often, putting down a team high 15 kills in the second win of the day. Christina Angeli led the team with 14 digs while Tara Blake added three aces.

 

The Duhawks are 5-2 with last week's win and will be blocks away from the Loras College campus on Wednesday night when they take on Clarke University at 7:30 PM.
