The women's cross country team competed in the 26thannual Roy Griak Invitational last Saturday in Minneapolis and were pleased with their results as they finished in the top third of a competitive 32-team field.

The women placed 11thoverall as a team in a strong 32-team field. Senior Genna Kinley continues to set the pace for the Duhawks, finishing first for her team and 19thoverall with a time of 23:15 in the field of 385 competitors.

 

Sophomore Mary Rector placed 40thoverall with a time of 24:03 and junior Katie Flogel crossed at 24:31 for a 59thoverall finish. Completing the scoring for the Duhawks was senior Katie Hemesath and sophomore Kellie Wagner who finished 78thand 97thoverall. Junior Maria Kalb finished 103rdoverall and freshman Hallie Martin finished 124th.

 

The next meet for the women will be at the Dan Huston Invitational at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa on October 8th.
